Fighters Sign Linebacker Royce See
December 8, 2022 – Indoor Football League (IFL) – Frisco Fighters News Release
FRISCO, Texas – The Frisco Fighters head coach Billy Back announced today the signing of linebacker Royce See for the 2023 season.
The Shepherd, Texas native is 6-foot and 230 pounds. See spent his collegiate years at Sam Houston State from 2016-19. In 2017, See served as the team’s primary linebacker, finishing with 44 tackles, one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. The following year, he appeared in 11 games, ranking second on the team and 12th in the Southland Conference with 80 tackles and 13th in the conference with 12.0 TFL. He finished the season as 2019 Southland Conference Football First Team All-Conference Defenseman.
See joins the Fighters from the Spring League Conquerors, where he played in 2021.
“Royce was one of the leaders of a real good Sam Houston team and all he did was make plays,” Back said. “He is a sure tackler who understands gap control and who also can cover and rush the passer when needed. Playing against the quarterbacks in this league, you need a player like Royce who can contain and wrap-up when the play is needed.”
The Frisco Fighters return to the field in March 2023. Squadron Memberships and single-game tickets are on sale now.
