According to the Mirror, Besiktas are hoping to sign Hannibal Mejbri on loan from Manchester United before their transfer deadline. The playmaker spent last season on a temporary deal at Birmingham, where he impressed in the second tier.
The 20-year-old proved to be a cut above most of his peers in the Midlands and now needs top-flight football. He will not get that at United, where he does not quite seem trusted by Erik ten Hag after the signings of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat.
A switch to Besiktas, who will play in the Europa Conference League, could be an invaluable experience for the youngster.
