Man Utd and Arsenal sent terrifying Erling Haaland message by Man City star Rodri | Football | Sport
Erling Haaland has become the complete package this season and is only going to get better according to Manchester City team-mate Rodri. The City striker’s goals have been the headline act of the season with a record-breaking 36 in the Premier League and 52 in all competitions.
But it is the improvement he has shown in his all-round game that has impressed City’s midfield lynchpin Rodri who believes Haaland is a different player now to the raw talent who arrived from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
And Rodri’s words are an early warning for the 2023-24 season when Arsenal and Manchester United will be among the clubs hoping to take the fight to City and dethrone them as the champions.
“He’s been incredible for us this season. Not only for the fact that he’s been scoring goals but also that he wants to learn and improve and fit into the team,” said Rodri.
“I watch him now and he’s not playing in the same way as he did at the start of the season. He can drop, he can play one touch, he can keep the ball, he can turn, he can score – many things.
“And he is so young, and he has the hunger to keep improving. He deserves everything because he’s so good with the team and he gives everything.”
City hope Haaland’s goals can carry them to a historic treble, emulating the unique achievement of Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United in 1999. But to do that they will have to remain at the top of their game for the next fortnight and not let levels dip despite having already wrapped up the Premier League title.
