State of Origin 2023 teams news, predictions: NSW Blues & QLD Maroons team lists for game one
NSW Blues players were all smiles for the cameras at Crowne Plaza, Coogee, after a host of selections entered camp for Origin I.
Nicho Hynes will make his debut for the side and was full of excitement.
“I can’t wait to get in camp and get some training in with the boys, interact with them and be part of the 17,” he said.
10-game Origin veteran Cameron Murray said Hynes is more than deserving of the opportunity.
“He’s definitely earned the right and showed some pretty good form the last two years,” he said.
Newcastle Knights second-rower Tyson Frizell has also made his way back into the side after a solid year.
Frizell last played for the Blues in 2020 during the infamous “worst Queensland side ever” series.
“I’m pretty stoked and grateful to be back,” he said.
