Things You Need to Know Before Home Opener

September 19, 2023 – Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) – Halifax Mooseheads News Release

Following the results from our season-ending survey conducted with our Season Ticket Members, the Mooseheads along with our partners Scotiabank Centre and Sodexo Live! have made the following efforts to help to enhance the gameday experience for fans this season. We are committed to continuing to improve the game experience for our fans and ask for your patience as we work to get this right.

DOORS OPEN 5:30PM: Friday’s Home Opener will be one of the most anticipated Mooseheads games in recent memory as the team is set to retire Nathan MacKinnon’s number 22 jersey. Doors for this game will open early at 5:30 to allow fans the proper time to get to their seats to enjoy the ceremony.

ONLINE 50-50 NOW AVAILABLE: Fans will now be able to purchase 50/50 tickets online from your seat or from home! The online option is focused on improving our congestion on the concourse by limiting long lines at 50/50 kiosks. There will be 50/50 sellers that continue to patrol the concourse for fans who prefer to purchase in-person.

CONCESSION IMPROVEMENTS: Thanks to the efforts of our partners Sodexo Live! and Scotiabank Centre, fans will see an improved concession experience this season in Moose Country. Key additions include exciting new menu items, a new POS system to help with speed of service, an increased presence of “hawkers” in the stands as well as additional training for staff all in an effort to improve service. The added hawkers will reduce the need to leave your seat to grab your gameday snacks as well as limit congestion at concession stands.

MERCHANDISE LOCATIONS: There are now two additional Mooseheads merchandise kiosks to serve fans now in all four corners of the building this season. This is all in an effort to help you get to your seat faster and to serve you better, so you don’t miss a second of the exciting action on the ice.

ENTRANCE: Scotiabank Centre is focused on streamlining the entry process to welcome fans into the venue, quickly and safely. Click here to view the venue policies. Don’t forget, your phone is your ticket! Be sure to add your digital ticket to your wallet and have it ready when you get to the door so they can get you in as quickly as possible.
