Unless Kylian Mbappe decides on a sudden U-turn to move to Saudi Arabia, he’ll be staying with Paris Saint-Germain until at least January.

But that hasn’t stopped silly season starting up early again with French outlet L’Equipe claiming Mbappe would be interested in a move to Liverpool.

Real Madrid are the strong favourites to sign the Frenchman as a free agent next summer, but Saudi Arabia’s interest and possible £215million bid for Mohamed Salah has revived links linking Mbappe to Liverpool.

That kind of money would need to be spent on a replacement for Salah and Mbappe is arguably the only player in world football capable of replicating the Egyptian. Don’t expect this rumour to die down any time soon.
