Warriors Score Four in Third, Beat Wilderness 4-2 in Game 1 of Semi-Finals

BLAINE, Minn. – The Oklahoma Warriors scored three goals in 3:16 to erase a 2-0 deficit and go on to win Game 1 of the 2023 Robertson Cup Semi-Finals 4-2 over the Minnesota Wilderness at Fogerty Ice Arena Friday.
Minnesota took a 2-0 lead into the third period after scoring late goals in both the first and second frames despite being outshot 25-17 through 40 minutes of play. Oklahoma began its comeback with a rebound stuff by Kaden Nelson from William Lawson-Body with just six minutes and 51 seconds remaining in regulation. Nelson’s first of the postseason ignited the crowd and sparked the Warriors’ momentum. Two minutes and 19 seconds later, a powerplay goal by Cole Teleki tied the game 2-2. Owen Baumgartner recorded the lone assist on Teleki’s blueline blast for his first point fo the game. Fifty-seven seconds later the game-winning goal would come off the stick of league-MVP Joey DelGreco. Baumgartner set up Malte Hasselgren, who created a rebound for DelGreco to pot at 16:25. DelGreco added insurance with an empty-net goal to make a 4-2 game with Owen Dyer collecting the assist.
The Oklahoma Warriors will face off in Game 2 against the Minnesota Wilderness at 4:30 p.m. Saturday from Fogerty Ice Arena.
